The orphanage “Enfants de joie” is located in Toamasina Madagascar. It takes care of 27 children and teenagers. They are 11 girls and 16 boys, some of them have handicap. In September 2021, the responsible of the orphanage reached out to Lys Fremtid for help. The children of the orphenage did not have any sanitary tools left.
Madagascar and its population face many economic problems and since Covid-19 the situation has become more severe. One of Lys Fremtid’s goals is to help vulnerable people, so we organized a fundraising in November 2021. In total we raised 2000 krones. All of the amount were used to buy sanitary tools to each one of the 27 children and teenagers. For the boys, the kit was composed of 3 toothbrushes, 2 toothpastes and soaps. The girls got the same, plus sanitary pads.
